Membership in NHS Membership in the National Honor Society is both an honor and a responsibility. Although a member is rarely automatically dismissed for failing to maintain standards, you are encouraged and expected to continue to demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character which you were deemed to posses upon induction. If you do violate the standards, you will receive a verbal and/or written warning which will inform you of the nature of the violation, the time period given for improvement, and the possible consequences of non-improvement. Your parents will also be notified. In the case of a flagrant violation of school rules or civil laws, a warning is not necessarily required. In addition to meeting all the requirements for graduation, you must also complete Algebra III/Trig and Chemistry.
